Nashville’s first AgeTech pitch competition wrapped in May 2025, and the energy in the room made one thing clear: the future of aging is being built right here in Tennessee.
SpendCare, led by CEO Perry Halman-Peguilan out of Franklin, TN, took home the $25,000 Community Equity Partners investment prize. Their pitch stood out for tackling a real, overlooked problem in how older adults manage their finances.
Finalists Hypersence (Kim Levine) and CareHome (AJ Trelease) brought sharp ideas and strong pitches. TheraVista (Jesse Hercules) rounded out the evening as our Tennessee Showcase selection.
Judges Todd McCullough (Lipscomb University), Eric Thrailkill (ECHO), and Grace Smith (AgeWell Middle Tennessee) had no easy task. The quality of startups in this space is rising fast.
Thank you to presenting sponsor Prudential Peak and investment sponsor Community Equity Partners for making the prize possible — and to our finalist founders who showed up and pitched.
2026 submissions are open. If you’re building for the aging population, we want to hear from you.
