That is what happened for SpendCare, winner of the 2025 AgeInnovate competition.
SpendCare’s Growth After Winning AgeInnovate
In the year following the competition, SpendCare grew from approximately 200 cardholders to nearly 1,400.
Spending facilitated through the platform increased from about $100,000 to more than $1 million, while interest from health plans, PACE organizations and care providers also increased.
SpendCare helps simplify spending and benefits administration for older adults, caregivers and care organizations. Its growth reflects the increasing demand for technology that strengthens caregiving, care delivery and aging services.

Apply for the 2026 AgeInnovate AgeTech Pitch Competition
Applications are open for the 2026 AgeInnovate AgeTech Startup Live Pitch Competition.
Three finalists will pitch live on September 16 in Nashville during the Launch Tennessee 3686 entrepreneurial conference.
The winning startup will receive a $25,000 SAFE-note investment from Community Equity Partners. Finalists will also present their companies to investors, healthcare leaders, operators and innovators working across aging and care.
AgeInnovate is seeking early-stage U.S. startups developing solutions in areas including:
- Caregiving and care delivery
- Aging in place
- Longevity and healthy aging
- Accessibility and mobility
- Independence and social connection
- Financial tools for older adults and caregivers
- Senior housing, wellness and healthcare
