Official Contest Rules
These Official Contest Rules govern the 2026 Age Innovate Pitch Competition (“Event” or “Pitch Competition”), a collaboration between AgeInnovate (“Age Innovate DBA Amy LaGrant Strategy”) and Community Equity Partners, LLC (“CEP”), collectively the “Sponsors.”
1 Recitals
- a.Age Innovate events accelerate innovation to address the biggest challenges and opportunities related to aging through healthcare, health tech, medical devices, and biotechnology (the “Mission”).
- b.CEP operates a network of angel investors and multiple venture funds.
- c.The 2026 Age Innovate Pitch Competition is a venture-style pitch competition and a collaboration between Age Innovate and Community Equity Partners, collectively the “Sponsors.”
- d.The 2026 event will take place at Venue TBD.
- e.Applications will be accepted through the Age Innovate portal beginning April 15, 2026 through the Official Entry Form (the “Form”).
- f.New entries will not be permitted after July 1, 2026.
- g.A maximum of three (3) Finalists will be selected by August 1, 2026 to advance to the Pitch Competition where a single Pitch Winner will be selected by a panel of judges (the “Judges”).
- h.By applying, Applicants are subject to the terms and conditions of the Contest Official Rules and must demonstrate their relevance to the Mission.
2 Eligibility
The Promotion is open to all incorporated for-profit organizations in good standing in their state of origin with its principal place of business located within the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia as of the date of entry (the “Entity”). The officers, directors, and employees of each Applicant shall not be the parent, child, spouse, or sibling of an officer, director, or employee of the Sponsors.
3 Participation
- a.Applicants will compete for a chance to win one (1) Grand Prize (“Prize”) consisting of up to $25,000 cash in an equity investment by CEP through its investment fund Community Equity Ventures or Angel Capital Group Fund II, LLC (the “Funds”).
- b.To enter the Event, the Applicant must complete the Form. Applicants are responsible for determining the appropriate beginning and ending times in their respective time zones. Upon submission of the completed Form, each Applicant will be entered into the Event. Only one (1) entry per entity is permitted.
- c.The Prize will be awarded to the Pitch Winner. Selection of the Pitch Winner and Finalists is based on the decision of a panel of judges.

Selection of Finalists and Pitch Winner:
- i.Finalists: On approximately August 1, 2026, no more than three (3) Finalists will be selected by a panel of judges. The panel will evaluate entries with respect to relevance, founders/management team, traction, and future impact within the context of the Mission. The highest-scoring entries will be selected as Finalists. In the event of a tie, tied entries will be re-judged on the same criteria. Non-acceptance within three (3) business days of invitation will result in disqualification and selection of a substitute Finalist with the next highest score.
- ii.Pitch Winner: On approximately September 16, 2026, at the Event, the Pitch Winner will be selected based on a live 10-minute pitch followed by 15 minutes of Q&A from the Judges. Judges will evaluate Finalists with respect to relevance, founders/management team, proven traction/demand, and ability to scale. The Pitch Winner must be present and pitch to win.
- iii.All Finalists agree to the Official Rules and to the decisions of the Judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Award of a Prize is subject to verification of eligibility and successful completion of a venture-style due diligence process by CEP.
- iv.Notification: Selected Finalists will be notified on August 1, 2026. The Pitch Winner will be announced at the Pitch Competition on September 16, 2026.
- e.Prize: The Pitch Winner will receive a capital investment of up to $25,000 USD within 30 days of being confirmed as the winner.
- f.Prize Limit: The Prize shall be made into the Entity and shall not be associated with individual officers, directors, or employees. The equity investment will be made through a definitive legal agreement in the form of an equity or convertible debt vehicle agreed to by both the Prize Winner and CEP. The Prize is not transferable or substitutable except by CEP. All relevant federal, state, and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the Pitch Winner.
4 Limitations of Liability
The Sponsors are not responsible for interrupted or unavailable network, server, or other connections; miscommunications; failed telephone, computer, or electronic transmissions; jumbled, scrambled, or misdirected entries; phone, electrical, network, technology, or computer hardware, software, or program malfunctions, failures, or difficulties; or any other errors, omissions, interruptions, or deletions of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic; or for non-receipt of any entry regardless of cause.
The Sponsors are not responsible for illegible, unintelligible, late, lost, or stolen entries; for incorrect or inaccurate entry information; or for any technical, printing, or human errors in the receipt or processing of any Applications. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Event will be disqualified and may be subject to prosecution.
If the Pitch Competition is compromised by viruses, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, or other causes beyond the control of the Sponsors, the Sponsors reserve the right to modify, discontinue, suspend, or terminate the Pitch Competition and proceed to select a potential Prize Winner in a manner they deem fair and reasonable.
5 No Warranties
THE SPONSORS MAKE NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NONINFRINGEMENT AS REGARDS ANY PRIZE OR ANY COMPONENT OF ANY PRIZE. SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES. CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS TO LEARN IF ANY OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
6 Privacy Policy
Any personal information collected during an entrant’s participation in the Event will be collected by the Sponsors and used to evaluate the relevance and applicability of the Applicant. Applicants should not provide information they deem confidential or proprietary. The Sponsors will engage judges and industry subject matter experts to evaluate Applicants.
The Sponsors will conduct all due diligence within standard industry practices, including password-protected access to all files and diligence reports. However, the Pitch Competition will be delivered in front of an invited audience in the form of a “demo day.” Consequently, the Sponsors cannot offer and hereby disclaim any warranty of confidentiality.
7 Publicity and Intellectual Property Rights
By submitting an entry that is selected to be a Finalist, the Finalist agrees to allow the Sponsors and/or their designees the right to use its corporate trade name and trademark, the name of its representative, biographical information, photos, videos, and/or likeness, and statements for promotion, trade, commercial, advertising, and publicity purposes, at any time, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, without notice, review, or approval and without additional compensation except where prohibited by law.
Applicants grant the Sponsors all rights of ownership, reproduction, and use of entries for any purpose whatsoever without compensation or further permission, including but not limited to an irrevocable and perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide right, in all media (now known or later developed) to assign, use, publish, edit, adapt, modify, alter, reproduce, distribute, display, copyright, create derivative works, or otherwise utilize entries for the stated purpose of the Pitch Competition and associated announcements, for commercial or non-commercial use, and without compensation to the Applicant.
By entering the Contest, each Applicant waives any and all rights it may have to its Application. To the extent the Applicant has any rights in the Application, the Applicant assigns all such rights to the Sponsors by entering the Contest.
8 Governing Law
Issues concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
9 Release
By participating, each Applicant on behalf of itself and its representatives releases and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsors from and against any and all costs, claims, damages, or any other injury, whether due to negligence or otherwise, to person(s) or property (including, without limitation, death or violation of any personal rights, such as violation of right of publicity/privacy, libel, or slander), due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to participation in the Event, or arising out of the receipt, use, misuse, or enjoyment of any Prize.
10 General
By entering the Pitch Competition, Applicants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsors, which shall be final in all matters pertaining to this Event. Applications and any Prize are void outside of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia and wherever prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Applications become property of the Sponsors and will not be returned.
