Company Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Early-stage startup (Seed stage or earlier)
- Raised less than $5M in total funding
- Annual revenue under $1M
- Product in market or MVP completed (not idea stage)
- Focused on aging or improving quality of life for older adults (e.g., health, wellness, caregiving, mobility, social connection, etc.)
- Headquartered in the United States
- Able to present in person at the event (Nashville, Sept 16)
- Willing to complete due diligence with Community Equity Partners (CEP)

Submission Criteria
Open call for submissions includes three required criteria: submission on thefutureisagetech.com, pitch deck, and 60 second pitch video.
- All submissions must be submitted through thefutureisagetech.com/submit
- Submit a pitch deck with no more than 10 slides telling the story of your company and vision for success.
- Submit a link to a video pitch (ideally uploaded to youtube or similar, not password protected)
- 60 second or less video pitching their company and why they should be the next Age Innovate winner
- Submitting this pitch assumes we can use it for promotional purposes.
- Optional: links to press, features, media highlights etc.
- Must be available to send a representative to present in-person on September 16, 2026
- Must be open to due diligence with CEP
- Must respond within the timeline

AgeInnovate Startup Competition: How It Works
Phase 1: Submit Your Application (You are here!) Get on our radar at AgeInnovate.com. Submit your 10-slide deck, share your elevator pitch via a 1-minute YouTube video, and put your hat in the ring. We can’t wait to see what you’re building. The competition is open to any US-based company.
Phase 2: Mission Alignment Review Applications are reviewed for alignment with the AgeInnovate mission. Companies that move forward will be contacted directly and invited to submit additional materials to our investment sponsor, Community Equity Partners. All applicants will be notified of their status by July 15, 2026.
Phase 3: Due Diligence Five companies, 3 finalists and 2 alternates, will advance to due diligence, which confirms eligibility for the $25,000 prize. Finalists and alternates will be notified by August 15, 2026. Finalists will receive lodging and a $150 meal stipend. Transportation to Nashville is the responsibility of each finalist.
Investment decisions and company selection are made solely by Community Equity Partners based on their investment criteria. AgeInnovate facilitates the competition but is not involved in investment determinations.
Phase 4: Live Competition Join us on September 16, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at The Back Corner in Nashville, TN, part of LaunchTN’s celebrated 36|86 Entrepreneurship Festival. The 3 finalists will compete live for the $25,000 prize. Additional details about the day of competition will be shared with finalists upon announcement.
Tennessee Innovation Showcase
AgeInnovate is proud to spotlight local innovation by selecting one TN-based company to join us at the live event as a non-competing showcase. This company will be handpicked by AgeInnovate as a compelling example of what’s being built right here in Tennessee.
Tennessee-based companies are encouraged to apply for both the competition and the Showcase simultaneously. If your company moves through the competition process but is not selected as a finalist, you may still be chosen by AgeInnovate for the Showcase spotlight. The TN Showcase selection is entirely independent of Community Equity Partners’ investment decisions.
Please note that the TN Showcase is a recognition opportunity. The selected company will not be eligible for the $25,000 investment prize.
